Maggie ♥ Jim Rome
It has come to my attention that we have yet to do a post on our little daughter Magnolia Mae Wolfe, affectionately known in the Wolfe household as Maggie. Well I realized something last night that I just had to blog about. It seems to me that Maggie has developed a wonderful habit of being extremely punctual. For the 4th straight night now Maggie has awakened me from my slumber at exactly 4:00am in order for her to eat her breakfast. Not 4:15 or 4:23 or 3:52. No exactly 4am give or take only like 2 minutes (which I say is just from me waking up). I kid you not, 4am everyday on the dot. Oh she will wake Laurette and I up at other times of the night for various potty breaks, but when it is 4am it is time to dine. I really don't mind this as I would rather feed her early and get 2 extra hours of sleep rather then have to wake up 30 minutes prior to my alarm. I wonder what has made her want to eat at 4am. Maybe she tried other times for her meal and they gave her doggy indigestion, or maybe some doggy Oprah told her that was the best time to eat, just like real Oprah says not to eat anything past 10pm. I like to think that her biggest crush, Jim Rome ,told her this. See we don't have a fence yet so everyday we have to leave poor Mags in the garage. I crack the door a little bit, get a big fan started for her, then turn on the stereo so she doesn't feel all alone. I have the radio tuned to 104.5 The Zone a local sports talk station. This is my favorite station in town and Laurette loves it in the mornings because they have her crush on the air, former Tennessee Titan, Frank Wycheck.
Anyway, from 11 - 2 in the afternoons Jim Rome is on the air and I like to think that he is Maggie's favorite. She is a clone in his Jungle for sure. I just have to think that Rome has lead her to this conclusion. Either way I am happy to do it.

I like to imagine Wycheck doing his show and then pausing in mid-sentence from some post-concussion symptoms, leaving nothing but dead air and some production assistant going "Mr. Wycheck...Mr. Wycheck...you're on the air, sir."
that is such a bizarre post. i'm going to have to cut you off.
and, I HATE Jim Rome!!!
I would like to echo what Wallie said. I am not going to have a grandpuppy of mine liking Jim Rome -- Maggie's got more class than that.
You are funny to leave the radio on for Mags. That is very thoughtful of you. I don't know who Jim Rome is though.
Tricia, I can't believe what you just said. You don't know who Jim Rome is? We will have a long talk later about a man with a big ego and how he almost got "his lights punched out". (I'm not quoting that from anywhere--I just wanted to say it without everyone thinking that I use that term reguarly).
For those of you who have ever missed it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HNgqQVHI_8 Jim Everett does not like being called "Chris".
